Uniola. Identity as a connecting principle

With the merger of Hager Partner (Zurich) and Keller Damm Kollegen (Munich), UNIOLA became one of the largest landscape architecture firms in the German-speaking area. The two offices were already working together well – but the merger required more than just a common logo. It needed an identity that did not blur differences, but transformed them into something new.

  • Two evolved systems, different internal processes, several locations - and the need to create a common brand. The task was clear: a unifying appearance that shows architectural attitude, offers orientation and does not look like a compromise.

    With over 100 employees at five locations, UNIOLA was more than just a rebranding project from the start. It was about creating identity – internally and externally.

  • Studio Blyss was commissioned to provide strategic and creative support for this change. In a full-day workshop with representatives from Zurich, Munich, Stuttgart, Geneva and Berlin, the vision, values, tonality and visual directions were jointly developed - as the basis for the new corporate design.

    The result is a modular, clear brand identity with an organic figurative mark, geometric systematics and a precisely coordinated language. A design that not only functions aesthetically, but also simplifies processes and creates a sense of belonging.

    The main goal was usability in everyday life: With templates, design systems, and digital guidelines, we ensured that the new corporate identity could be used consistently across all locations and developed further.

  • Today, UNIOLA is more than just a name. It is a sign that a common attitude can emerge - if both sides are prepared to let go of established structures in order to create something new.

    The new identity strengthens internal cohesion and enables a clear presence in the market – as a cross-border office for landscape architecture that has emerged from dialogue.
